This is a front cover of Empire Magazine. Empire magazine is published monthly by Bauer media Group. The Masthead of Empire magazine is in block letters in a big font and the color is red. This portray's the big Hollywood blockbuster movies that this magazine writes about. Furthermore the dominant figure is this magazine front cover is also famous, this may represent the big blockbusters movies this magazine features. In addition the cover lines all contain high budget blockbusters like  
'Wolverine,' 'Star Trek,' 'Green Zone,' 'The WolfMan,' 'Quantum of Solace' and 'Watchmen.'

Magazine Front Cover Conclusion

The benefits from this task was that i found out that all conventions in magazine front covers are the same regardless of the type of audience it caters for.  However, the content on the cover changes with the audience it's representing. Now that I have a greater understanding of the content used, I would also have to think about the font and colour as they reflect the magazine and what types of films feature on them.

Now that I have looked at convention for Movie Posters I will be doing the same for magazine front covers. I am going to be looking a two different magazine front covers which covers different audiences to see if they share the same conventions and their terms of layout regardless of their target audiences.
